I am a fully qualified, freelance Numeracy Specialist, I have 20 years’ experience of students with learning difficulties and disabilities including Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia and Dyscalculia. I spent 10 years as a college lecturer working in Further Education. I have experience of teaching Key Stage 1 – 4, KS2 SATS preparation, GCSE Foundation and Functional Skills including school children, students and adults of all ages.
My classes are one to one allowing the session to be tailor made to the students’ needs, pace and learning style.
I use Zoom for my online classes which is free for my students to use.

Allows access to school and college Virtual Learning Environments. These include Sparx, Moodle. Microsoft Teams and MathsWatch.

All work can be saved and emailed to the student.
Opportunity to upload files, these can be emailed to the tutor before or during the class.
Safeguarding; student can be at home alone during the class.

Homeschooling
Homeschooling is becoming more and more popular in the UK.
Parents and home schooled children see the advantages of learning at home to include customised learning, with classes tailored to individual needs. Classes are more flexible with less distractions creating a more efficient learning environment. Some parents find their children prefer the safer learning environment as parents have greater control over bullying, peer pressure and negative influences.
I have daytime availability for home schooled students. Classes are flexible and can be designed to focus on a particular topic or for exam preparation.
International Students
As an English speaking Maths Tutor I have experience of teaching students in Ireland, Morocco and the United Arab Emirates.
I offer online classes for overseas students, which conveniently fit around their busy lives. Time zone differences allow international students to access my daytime classes while UK schools are still in session.

I contacted Tony 6 weeks ago, to ask if he could give me tutoring for my maths exam I had to sit for my PGCE in 5 weeks! He said it’ll be a lot and a challenge but he’d happily help me out! I had 3 tutor sessions a week ( via Zoom due to coronavirus ) and I told him I had 0 hope, 0 chance and it would be a miracle if he could get me to pass maths. It’s my worst subject and I’m quite frankly terrible at it. But after 5 weeks of intense tutoring and full support from Tony, I PASSED MY EXAM!!! I can’t believe it still!
